RAAFAY ISRAR TO RELEASE KHUSHFEHMIAN HIS FIRST SONG FOR 2019

Raafay Israr is set to release his first song, Khushfehmian in first week of March. The single also marks Israr’s first duet ever. The singer’s previous hits include Sajni, Beliya and Man Ki Lagan released in 2018.

 

Celebrating the month of love, Raafay Israr’s song Khushfehmian is an acoustic pop ballad. While sharing more details about the song, Israr says, “The month of February is all about love and I thought of bringing back the old school romance with a song that celebrates the purity and simplicity of a love between a boy and a girl. The song’s name is called Khushfehmian and it is an easy listening love song which everyone can sing along to.”

 

Composed, written by Raafay Israr and co-written by S.K.Kalish, Khushfehmian also features the singer Alycia Dias. The music video for the song is performance based, produced by Mahnoor Sheikh with Salar Khan as the cinematographer.

 

Khushfehmian is set to launch first week of March. The song will be available on the Israr’s social media platforms (including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Soundcloud) as well as other music portals including Saavn, iTunes, Patari and Soundcloud. The singer is currently working on more songs and collaborations scheduled to be released in 2019.

Singer, songwriter and composer Raafay Israr, is an upcoming musician who has already made his presence be felt in a time span of 6 years.

Mentored by the legendary Benjamin Sisters, Israr started his career in music at the age of 12. While just a teenager he started performing at local concerts in Karachi along with his band, and in a matter of 4 years, he completed 300 concerts all over Pakistan for which he also opened shows for some of the biggest music names of the country. He started writing his own music in 2017 and in April 2018 launched his debut single ‘Sajni’. The song received massive praise over the internet and later it got signed by Zee Music Company. Raafay Israr also released two more singles Beliya and Man Ki Lagan in the same year.

Grand opening of ZAOQ Restaurant

ZAOQ, the authentic Pakistani cuisine chain of restaurants opened another grand outlet here today in Karachi, this time at LuckyOne Mall

The evening started with guests mingling at the Red Carpet hosted by Usman Mazhar, admiring the sophisticated décor and elegant ambience of the restaurant while interacting with one another. On this special occasion CEO ZAOQ, Ammar Hussain said, “We invite you to an entirely new dining experience which shall not only be a treat for your taste buds but a journey through the glorious heritage of the sub-continent”, and expressed his gratitude to the large number of attendees at the launch event, including media, socialites and celebs.

The chief guest on the occasion was Sarwat Gilani who performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony after which the buffet was opened for all the guests.

A well-attended opening, the restaurant played host to its guests who were found enjoying the cold weather and sitting outdoors, as well as indoors in its cosy interior.

Zaoq Restaurant now has two branches in Karachi and three in Doha. It’s first restaurant launched in 2009 in Doha Qatar offering for the first time genuine Pakistani cuisine in a formal ambience to those who appreciate elegance, refinement and good taste, hence the name ZAOQ.

Kaka and Figo in Pakistan to promote World Soccer Stars

KARACHI: Retired football legends, Brazil’s Ricardo Kaka and Portuguese Luís Figo, arrived in Pakistan on Thursday to officially launch the World Soccer Stars (WSS) event.

The government of Pakistan welcomed the star footballers through its official twitter handle and wrote: “Welcome, KAKA & LuisFigo to Pakistan”.

During their much-anticipated visit, retired players will promote WSS which is organized to promote the sport of football in the country.

The football duo will make a special appearance at Pearl Continental in Karachi and Packages Mall in Lahore.

The administrative body of WSS has announced to conduct two matches in Karachi and Lahore. The event will be held between April 26 and April 29.

Earlier, both the stars took to their social media accounts to break the news of their arrival. “Let the excitement begin”, Figo wrote.

Veteran Bollywood actor Kader Khan passes away

TORONTO: Veteran Bollywood actor-writer Kader Khan passed away Monday at the age of 81 after a prolonged illness, his son Sarfaraz confirmed.

Khan was seeking treatment at a hospital in Canada for a condition called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a degenerative disease that causes loss of balance, difficulty in walking and dementia.

Sarfaraz further informed that the last rituals of the deceased actor will be performed in Canada.

“My dad has left us. He passed away on December 31 at 6 pm as per Canadian time due to prolonged illness. He slipped into coma in the afternoon. He was in the hospital for 16-17 weeks,” he said.

“The last rites will be performed here in Canada only. We have our entire family here and we live here so we are doing it,” Indian media quoted him as saying.

Sarfaraz added, “We are thankful to everyone for their blessings and prayers.”

Khan had developed breathing issues after which he was shifted to a BiPAP ventilator from a regular one.

Having made a name in the yesteryears, Khan became an eminent actor in the 1980s and 90s.

He made his debut in 1973 with Rajesh Khanna’s ‘Daag’. His acting stint comprises of over 300 films.

Khan even wrote dialogues for over 250 movies. He used to collaborate with Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra as a screenwriter.

His famous work with Desai include, ‘Dharam Veer’, ‘Ganga Jamuna Saraswati’, ‘Coolie’, ‘Desh Premee’, ‘Suhaag’, ‘Parvarish’ and ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. With Mehra he worked on films like ‘Jwalamukhi’, ‘Sharaabi’, ‘Lawaaris’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’.

World tourists travel through Pakistan to enjoy real beauty

LONDON: A group of international tourists and social media influencers travelled across Pakistan to explore the real beauty of Pakistan through personal experience

The group started their journey from London and travelled across Pakistan for eleven days to record their experience of the famed beauty and adventure of Pakistan. Led by British Pakistani entrepreneur and former Apprentice star Syed Zeeshan Shah, the group was comprised of social media influences from across the world. They included Nathan Buchan (Kiwi Traveler/Entrepreneur); Umar Khan (Pakistani Film Maker); Eva Zubeck (British Traveller Exploring Pakistan); Chantelle Browne (British Influencer); Ryan Riel (Canadian Travel Influencer) and Louise Conway (London based Executive Assistant).

The group started their journey on the 1st of October from London which took them to Islamabad and from there to Swat, Ayun, Kalash Valleys, Chitral, back to Swat and Islamabad, Karachi and from there to Gwadar, back to Karachi and then back to London.
